Verify my list

Check the emails on a list you already have before you send to it. Get a free quote, say yes, and see which addresses are good. Half a credit per address.

Sending to bad addresses hurts your mailboxes. Check a list first. You pay half a credit per address that needs a fresh check. Addresses checked recently are free, and the quote tells you the most it can cost before anything happens.

Get a quote, free

Send the addresses, up to 5,000 rows and 1,000 different addresses per check:

Shell
curl -X POST "https://app.argorant.com/api/v1/verifications/quote" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ARGORANT_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"emails": ["jane.doe@acme.com", "sam@globex.io", "info@initech.example"]}'
JSON
{ "quote_id": "4b1d2c3e4f5a6b7c8d9e0f1a2b3c4d5e", "unique_addresses": 3, "fresh_checks": 2,
  "duplicates_removed": 0, "invalid_rows": [], "maximum_charge": 1, "approval_required": true }

maximum_charge is the most the check costs, in credits. Repeated addresses and rows that are not an email are left out for free.

Ask, then start

Show maximum_charge to the person who pays. After their yes:

Shell
curl -X POST "https://app.argorant.com/api/v1/verifications" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ARGORANT_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"quote_id": "4b1d2c3e4f5a6b7c8d9e0f1a2b3c4d5e", "approved_maximum_charge": 1}'

The check checks exactly the list of the quote and never costs more than approved_maximum_charge. Starting the same quote again returns the same check.

Read the results

Shell
curl "https://app.argorant.com/api/v1/verifications/$RUN" -H "Authorization: Bearer $ARGORANT_API_KEY"

summary counts the results. valid is safe to send to. invalid will bounce. catch_all sits at a domain that accepts every address, so it cannot be confirmed. risky and unknown are better left out. The full list with every address is in the app at results_url.

Your key needs the argorant:verify_emails scope; keys created in the app have it.

From the terminal, npx argorant verify --file my-list.csv -o checked.csv does the same in one step. In Claude or ChatGPT, ask "Check the emails in this list before I send to them".
