Buy credits from an agent
How a script or an AI agent buys credits safely. Show the packs, get a quote, ask the person who pays, then the saved card is charged within the workspace limits or you get a payment link.
Credits come in four packs: 500 for $17.50, 5,000 for $69, 25,000 for $199 and 100,000 for $499. They are paid once, stay valid for 365 days and stay in the account even if a plan is cancelled. One credit is one contact; half a credit checks one email; a phone number costs 10.
An agent never buys on its own. It always shows a quote and waits for a clear yes from the person who pays.

When payment.saved_card.usable is true, the saved card is charged right away after the yes. Otherwise the purchase returns a payment link. Nothing is charged by a quote.

A receipt goes to the workspace owner and the buyer. Without one, the answer is status: awaiting_payment with checkout_url. Give that link to the person who pays; the credits arrive as soon as they pay. "pay_with": "link" always asks for a link.

Why it is safe
- The quote id is the key. Sending the same purchase again returns the first answer and never charges twice.
- A saved card is used only when it was saved for purchases by the API and agents. The first payment through a link saves it, with a line on the payment page that says so.
- The workspace decides in Settings, Billing whether agents may use the saved card, and can set a monthly limit and a limit per purchase. Above a limit the purchase gets a payment link instead.
- A saved-card purchase must follow its quote within 15 minutes. After that, get a new quote.
- A card that is declined or needs its holder to confirm is not charged; you get a payment link instead.
Mailboxes on new domains are bought the same way with POST /api/v1/inboxes/quote and POST /api/v1/inboxes/orders.
